My little girl was the daughter of Rocky and Molly and was born on Valentine'e Day 2/14/91 and had to be sent to the rainbow bridge on 7/1/07. She was sweet sixteen.
She bravely fought Glaucoma since she was 5 and when she finally lost her sight when she was 14 she got around pretty well.
Then when she was almost 15 (Jan 06) she started to have black poop and I took her to the vet and she said she had the begining of Kidney Failure so I went on Yahoo K-9 Kidney and did all the things they suggested.
It worked until June 07 then she was still having problems digesting her food and it was painful for her after she ate. Then she began to eat less and less. When I took her back to the vet they said it could be cancer because she was still slightly anemic but her blood work said Kidneys and Liver were fine. But she would only eat one or two bites and lost 1 lb in two days.
I took her home June 28th and tried everything to get her to eat, she was so thin and weak and could hardly walk. She looked like a little fawn.
Then on July 1, 2007 I had to take her to the vet to say goodbye. She went from 22 lbs to 15.9 lbs.
After 11 years of eye pills, drops and antibiodic creams then the last 15 months of stomach ulcer meds, herbs, vitamins and some hand feeding, I feel so lost and empty not taking care of her and I see her everywhere. I would do it again in a heartbeat if I could still be with her.
I'll never forget my beautiful puppy flower (the prettiest flower in the garden) with the Cocker Spaniel petals (ears). My Valentine's girl was indeed my heart. And I will keep my little Cooks (Cookie Face)in my heart forever.
Now she will be young and healthy and will be able to wrestle with Max our tuxedo cat again in heaven and will be with our other Tuxedo cat Stanley and our Gray Toy Poodle Pepi.
Thank you Josephine and Dawn for letting me look at your beautiful puppies that Rocky and Molly had and talking me into another one after I had to say goodbye to Desiree my German Shepard a few weeks before my Chelsea was born. I hope they and my other babies are waiting for me when I get to the other side.
Love your adopted family member
