Jagger Was A Special LAMB
Loving And Most Beautiful
For He Truly Was

Jagger
  06/13/93 - 04/28/02

What can I tell you about Jagger? He was born on 6/13/93 and was euthanized on 4/28/02. He was a yellow Lab with a beautiful orange stripe down his back and on the tip of his tail. He had big paws. When he was a little fella, his favorite toy was a miniature barbell and a bunny that he eventually loved to death. He loved to sit in boxes in the back yard. The park was his favorite place to be, well his second favorite; his favorite was laying on the floor next to me with his feet pushing against the bed with a breeze coming thru the window or his nose resting against the air conditioning vent. He always knew where to find the coolest spot in town. He loved to go for a ride in the car. Just pick up the car keys and he was at the door ready to go, even when he was sick he was still ready to go anywhere with his mama. He was the kind of dog that spoils you for any other. When he could see, he loved to chase squirrels and even after he lost his eye sight he never lost his heart. He would still be the guard dog of your dreams. All the stray cats loved him too. They would all come running when he would come outside. Please don't even sit down on the 'foot stool' in the kitchen. He could hear a ziploc bag open up 100 yards away. You always knew when someone came home; the sound of his tail hitting the floor would resonate throughout the house. He loved to give Kara kisses and slobber all over her face, until she couldn't breathe. He loved tennis balls and a really obnoxious squeak toys. His favorite was a large hamburger that he could hardly pick up. The Friday before he left us, he played with his hamburger in the park. The last day of his life, we were up early, had two trips to the park, took a ride together then, laid on my bed, and he knew that he was the most loved dog in the world. I will miss the trips to see Santa at PetSmart. He loved Santa and would end up kissing all over Santa's face. He was best friends with Bruno the Rottweiler and with Miss Edna. He was a kind and loving pet with Kayleigh. He was very gentle and would share his swimming pool with her. He wasn't too keen on dressing up, but would put up with me long enough to get one picture. I loved how Jagger would eat frozen grapes. Jagger loved the snow, would love to eat it, run thru it, and try to catch it. One of his favorite pastimes would be to get on the sofa and sleep upside down with his paws straight up in the air. When we go get my sister and take her for a ride, we would wait for her at the end of the alley. The minute she saw Jagger in the back seat waiting for her, she would start to shriek and giggle, "Oh no not him!" and he and her would have a love fest in the back seat the entire time. When we went to the farm to get a puppy, we were going for a black Lab. They had two sets of Labs -- Yellow and Black. They let all the puppies out for us to choose one. Jagger grabbed on to the back of my skirt and picked us. It was a match made in heaven. He had the sweetestlittle puppy breath and was such a little roly poly. I remember sitting in the living room and Kara would open the back door. I would start calling him to come to Mama and he would run, leap onto the porch and run into my arms. One of the nicest sounds was when he would settle in for the night and let out a contented sigh. When Jagger was being put to sleep, that was the last thing I heard from him.
